CASH ONLY. CASH ONLY.
Pretty mediocre food, but it's not bad per se. Comes out hot. Value sort of debatable but portions are good -- you'll walk out full even if most of it was noodle.
Value is a lot better if you are not dining solo. If you are, I recommend a larger sharing order for take-out and just portion it into two or three meals at home.
Shrimp and BBQ Pork Fried Rice Noodle with Curry Sauce ($13.95, comes with a hot drink)
-Not really spicy at all. Separately offered hot sauce is not recommended as it's a different type of spicy heat from the curry.
-Overall nothing wrong here. This is a largish portion for one person, so if you are two persons you're better off ordering a single larger portion to share from the regular noodle menu. The closest is probably V4 under Fried Vermicelli.
The Boss Signature Fried Noodle ($17.75)
-Mix of veggies, ham, shrimp, chicken. Kind of an elusive amount of each.
-No doubt about it this is a pretty massive plate good for two persons. Which does work out to less than $10 per person, so it's a filling portion.
Most of it is noodle but the net amount of non-noodle is definitely portioned for more than one person.
-We went for weekend lunch and it was busy! But they have a good take-a-number system and turnaround for small tables for two is not bad.
Service was brisk and businesslike.

Boss is actually a famous restaurant from HK, open two locations in Vancouver, most Cantonese people knows this place. The one in metrotown is very busy during lunch time, you better make reservation before come in. They don't have big round tables in restaurant, so only good for gathering within 6 people, otherwise you have to get 2 tables. Milk tea is a must try, thick and rich. I also like their toast coated with egg, yummy!

I really wished I read the reviews before going to eat here. I had wonton noodles that came with a drink. Lady said the drink was free but said it a dollar extra for the cold lemon tea. I was shocked when the wonton noodle soup came in medium sized bowl. This came to around $15 with taxes and $17 with tip. Anywhere else in the city would've cost $10-$12. Avoid

The worse HK style meal ! Seafood noodle costs $14 +tax and tips. Super small portion , 2 small frozen mussels , 2 fake crab meat and 1 frozen squid. What a ripoff!! Not to mention the MSP broth.
I want to give 0 star if I can . Avoid at all cost -

Atmosphere: medium with enough seating.
Price: cheap
Customer service: poor as they never came to our table for a good 20 minutes. i wanted to leave but my friend i was with had more patience than i.
Food: for a HK style cafe i have been to a lot and this one was disappointing. not enough flavor in the broth and the noodles were overcooked.
Notes: even though it is the only one in the area take the skytrain and go somewhere else.
